Pastor Ben Akabueze kicks off today's sermon with the theme "He Cares" with the center scripture taken from 1 Peter 5:7 which reads "Cast all your cares upon Him for he cares for you."
He emphasizes the need to depend on and rely on God our Father for help and that in doing so we live a much easier and simpler life. Even with the troubles we face in the world today, as long as we rely on Him and take on His light yoke, we will not have to struggle like others would. We should not believe or accept the lie that God does not care and no matter how long it takes for His promise in your life to become established stay with Him.
He leaves the stage for an elder from the RCCG, Pastor Matthew Atilola who was assigned to our parish in honor of the Family Weekend service today.
