Pastor Ben breaks down David’s confidence into two key points:

1. The mercy of God: The speaker emphasizes that God’s mercy endures forever, which is why David was sure that God would perfect all that concerns him.
2. The word of God: David’s confidence was also anchored on God’s promises. The speaker uses the example of 1 Kings 6:13, where God promises not to forsake his people Israel.

Key points of the sermon include:

David's confidence in God's faithfulness is anchored on a certain depth of relationship with God.
God's promises are extensions of God himself and so he is exalted when they are fulfilled.
It is important to hold onto God and His promises.
We should not live like there are no consequences for our actions or inactions.
We need to have a reverential fear of God.
Our concept of time is different from God's.
Christians should make promises to God.
The depth of the relationship with God is a journey that begins with a decision to surrender your life to Jesus.
